Horseback Riding in Hercules

 Wildhorse! Instruction Center in Hercules

Wildhorse! is a movement education program involved in
teaching horseback riding and dance to the handicapped, as
well as the abled. Kari Ann Owen was once 98% mobility
impaired from crippling sciatica. Her disabilities have motivated
 Kari Ann to serve others.

 Wildhorse!, a Federal 501C3 non-profit corporation, located
at the end of Skelly Lane off Hercules Avenue, is a horseback
riding program for both abled and disabled riders

Director Dr. Kari Ann Owen is a certified therapeutic riding
instructor. Wildhorse! is vendorized through the Regional Center
of the East Bay. They teach both English and Western riding,
and can bring students up to the advanced level in both
disciplines. The normal lesson fee is $40, but they never turn
anyone away for lack of funds.

Please email them at penomee@yahoo.com. Volunteers are
always needed, and mentoring is provided upon request for both
volunteers and persons interested in becoming therapeutic riding
instructors. Their only limitation: a 200 pound limit on all riders.
