Vision:
A park on Point Hercules will offer
the Bay Area a unique
recreational experience. The
image at the right is an older plan
that included a long bridge for
public access. Current proposals
have designed a smaller bridge
over the tracks that is less
conspicuous, yet still
accessible to people with
disabilities. Also not pictured is
an entrance for emergency
vehicles to get to the park and to
the ferry dock.
The park will feature a
fishing pier when completed.
A place to launch kayaks
and canoes will also be
included. The Point will be a
popular destination along both the
Bay Trail and the Bay Water Trail. |
