Former Library Commissioner Presented with Proclamation

  Roberta Alexander Honored

The Hercules Library Commission presented former
Commissioner Alexander with an official proclamation on June
19th to honor her for her many contributions to the Hercules
Public Library over the past several years.

Ms. Alexander was instrumental in the many processes that
were necessary to have a library built and operated in our town.
She volunteered on the ad hoc committee to secure initial funding
and served on the Library Commission for six years.
Additionally, Ms. Alexander started the Author Lecture Series as
a fundraiser for the library's construction.  Ms. Alexander
continues to donate countless hours to the Library.

The Chair of the Library Commission, A.R. Weinstein, read
the document which had been prepared by
herself, Vice Chair
MacAulay and Commissioners Walters, Madfes, Shapiro,
Mills and Marcotte.  Each commissioner and our Senior
Community Library Manager, Elliot Warren, expressed their
appreciation and gratitude for all Ms. Alexander's efforts.
