Survivor's Yau-Man Chan, a resident of
Martinez, captivated a standing-room only
crowd at the Hercules Public Library with
tales of his zanny experiences on the
popular TV show. He shared intimate
details about the interactions among the
cast members, the logistics about the
filming and how his life has changed
after the show. "Survivor is all about film
editing," he explained. "Cameras are rolling
24/7 on each member in the competition.
Thousands of hours of videotape have to
be cut and spliced together to create a
dramatic story."
Arranged by our local
library staff, the event
was yet another example of the H.P.L.'s
role in bringing enrichment to our community.

"The
game-it's all about psychology."
