A petition is being circulated
in Hercules requesting
that the City move forward quickly with the development
of the Waterfront. Feel free to sign this document.
Recently the developer, Anderson-Pacific, and the City
staff cooperated in working though the final details of
the Waterfront Plan. This included some contingencies
that Point Hercules be made into a park and that
facilities were in place to handle emergency vehicles
at the new ferry dock.
The development will still need to go through the
traditional processes, including reviews by the
Planning Commission and the public. Signing the
petition, however, will help the Waterfront be built sooner.
